Maersk Supports Proposed U.S. Clean Shipping Act

The Clean Shipping Act was introduced in July 2022 to the U.S. House of Representatives, backed by group of 31 environmental and community organizations and 13 industry organizations. One of these industry organizations is A.P. Møller – Mærsk Logistics, the shipping giant who is decarbonizing their fleet and becoming a major clean hydrogen consumer. Through this legislation the Environmental Protective Agency would enforce regulations to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from marine vessels that call on ports in the United States require zero in-port emissions from marine vessels by 2030.
